Aqua Trails Kayaking at the Cape May Nature Center

Summer is the perfect time to try an unforgettable kayaking experience on the quite waters and salt marshes around

Cape May.

Book daily Tours through September from its new home at the Nature Center of Cape May on the shores of Cape May Harbor.

Tidal Marsh Tours are offered every Tuesday and Saturday evening (call for times), and three nights of Full Moon Kayak Tours coincide with the full moon each month. Upcoming Full Moon Kayak tours are scheduled for July 8-10 beginning at 7:45 p.m. nightly.

These evening sojourns into the heart of Cape May's majestic salt-marsh wetlands are adventures simply not to be missed. Participants will experience the glory of the setting sun or rising full moon against the peaceful backdrop of the wildlife-rich salt marsh. Birds such as osprey, willets, and the black crowned night heron are in abundance.

Three-day Advanced and Basic Kayak Kamps for children ages 12-16 years will be offered in July and August. One-day Adult Kayak Clinics are scheduled for July 22 and August 26. Call the Nature Center at 898-8848 for more information and to make kayak tour reservations.

The Nature Center of Cape May is open daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., throughout the summer with free admission and plenty of free parking. The Nature Center and Aqua Trails Kayaking are located at 1600 Delaware Ave., in Cape May.
